Datatables

We read an Excel file into a UiPath datatable using the "Read Range Workbook" activity.

We then log the datatable to the output panel using the "Output datatable as Text" to copy the datatable into string. We can then log the datatable in string format with a "Log Message" activity.

We filter the datatable (we created in the previous video) to only include rows with a department value of "IT"

We then learn how to sort that datatable and write that datatable out to a new tab in the Excel file we read in.

We look at 2 ways to loop through a datatable.

The first way is using the activity "For each row in datatable"

The second was is using the "While" activity

We add headers to the data written out to the output panel then we write that same information out to a text file.

We look at how to build a datatable to create custom datatable columns and custom column data type.

Then we look at two ways to populate the new datatable and write the datatable out to an Excel file..

We look at 2 ways of sorting a datatable with a multi-column sort.

The first way is with the sort data table activity and the second way is by using LINQ

Then we write the sorted datatable out to a new tab in an Excel file.
